Telegram Group Captcha: Why You Need It and How to Set It Up
90% of Telegram group spam comes from bots that join in bulk and immediately post ads. Captcha cuts them off at the door: a new member cannot write until they tap the «I'm human» button. Setup takes 2 minutes.
Step 1. Add the bot
Add @telemodxyzbot to your group as an administrator with rights to delete messages and ban users. Basic protection starts immediately.
Step 2. Enable captcha
Open the Telemod panel (the «Panel» button in the bot) → your group → Settings → Captcha. Or simply apply the «Standard» preset — captcha turns on together with anti-spam.
Step 3. Tune the timeout
Time to pass — 60–120 seconds. Failure action: kick (soft, a human can rejoin) or ban (strict, against botnets).

The captcha settings have a «Try the captcha yourself» link — the bot sends you the same check in DM so you see what newcomers see.
