Telegram Anti-Raid Protection: How to Stop a Mass Attack

A raid is when dozens of accounts pour into a group within minutes and flood it with spam, abuse or NSFW. Regular filters are not enough: you need a strict mode. Here is how to set up anti-raid in Telemod.

The «Strict» preset

In group settings hit the «Strict» preset: tough captcha (60s, failure = ban), mute for links, ban after 2 warnings. One click enables the whole anti-raid kit.

Captcha with ban

During a raid the key is to keep accounts out. Captcha with «ban» on failure cleans the botnet automatically: bots cannot press the button.

Link filter in mute mode

Raiders almost always carry links. «Mute for links» stops the ads instantly, even if the account passed the captcha.

Anti-flood

A per-10-seconds message limit cuts off wall-of-text dumping. In the «Strict» preset flood is punished with an instant mute.

The best anti-raid is the one configured in advance. Switch to «Strict» during an attack and return to «Standard» when it calms down. The moderation log in the panel shows who the bot stopped and why.
